Legend Care Preventive Foot Care
Legend Care develop preventive foot care products for
diabetes,
arthritis, cold feet, athletes
foot, and people with at risk feet. We are an Irish owned
company established in 1998, dedicated to the development
and marketing of preventive
foot care products. Legend Care is located one hour from
Dublin in Mullingar, Co Westmeath in a purpose built production
facility, which houses all our product development and manufacturing
capabilities.
Legend Care’s strength in research
and product innovation resulted in the creation of the first
commercially viable diabetic sock – a double layer sock
structure, which could relieve both friction and pressure
at the same time to the plantar surface of the foot. The company
aims to become one of the world’s leading manufacturers
of pressure and friction relieving preventive foot care products
in the years to come.
The Legend Care PFC (preventive foot care)
Diabetic Sock took three years to develop and is based on
the results of in-depth research into the causes of foot complications
for people with diabetes. International research has shown
that over 50% of ulcerations and amputations can be avoided
through preventive foot care and the wearing of such diabetic
socks.
